bronchitis cannot be treated with antibiotics since it is not a bacterial infection. it is a viral infection and there for, antibiotics will not work. I know this because I was just diagnosed with acute bronchitis and the dr said it is contagious for up to 7 days after exposure. he said to take advil or tylenol cold & sinus to alleviate any pain and to drink plenty of liquids. it will go away on it’s own.
